Northern Shaolin
Trevor’s love for martial arts began at a young age from watching Shaw Brothers films as well as The Karate Kid, Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc . At a young age, Trevor began training in martial arts under Master Pak of Pak’s Tae Kwon Do. Trevor would later study with Sensei Matt Burrell in the arts of Yoshukai Karate and Japanese Jujitsu. During his time under Sensei Burrell, Trevor was introduced to Shifu Delmar Minor who at the time was teaching a kung fu class in Sensei Burrell’s dojo. Unfortunately, Sensei Burrell closed his school, but Trevor realized he still wanted to continue training and began looking for a school which led him to contacting Shifu Delmar over social media about martial training. Trevor would begin his journey in Northern Shaolin Kung Fu.
During his time with the Northern Shaolin School of Kung Fu, Trevor has competed in many local, national, and international tournaments. Trevor has fought at the full contact Lei Tai and is also the first Black Sash to come out of the Northern Shaolin School of Kung Fu. Trevor still continues to train and teach Northern Shaolin at the school under the guidance of Shifu Delmar. Trevor also trains in the art of 7 Star Praying Mantis of the Chiu Leun lineage under Sifu Othal Thomas of the Gaam Sing Kwoon.
